Ice Princess

This past Tuesday, Kennedy stepped onto the ice for the VERY first time! Matt has been wanting her to take ice skating lessons, so I finally signed Kennedy up. She was so excited. She got laced up, and could actually walk to the rink. Good sign, I thought… Once she stepped onto the ice, though, she could barely stay on her feet! I laughed so hard. A teaching assistant spent nearly thirty minutes alone with Kennedy, teaching her to stand up (because she fell a lot) and to take steps on the ice. Then the tough as nails instructor (who we really liked) began working with Kennedy. By the end of her first hour, Kennedy could go in circles, wiggle while standing, push backwards, and move a little. Hopefully she will be gliding across the ice before long! We’ve got her tights and gloves all ready for this coming Tuesday. Daisy Scouts also starts this week (Monday), so we’ll have an extra busy week this week!

Poor Thing!

While we were at the Ice Plex, Case thought it would be real cute to run away from Mommy. He would take off, and I would chase him. He giggled that sweet belly laugh that I wish I could bottle. That’s a laugh that stays in your memory forever! Because he’s so cute, here’s a picture of him enjoying a cupcake!
